Collaborate
I don't start a project alone. There are several people, foundations and organizations that help with that. Below you can read about them.
Ghanaian employees
The people in Ghana are very important for the success of this project. They are the driving force behind the project in Ghana and help to set up the project.
- Ma Sanatu is the mother of the host family where I always stay. She plays an important role in the community.
- Ba Osman is the father of the host family. He is related to the Chief and helps to arrange matters with the Chief.
- Suale Osman is one of the children (now adults) of the host family. I can easily contact him from the Netherlands. He arranges all kinds of things for the project in Ghana, such as applying for a piece of land and having budgets drawn up.
- Zuleiha Osman is one of the children (now 17 years old) of the host family. She gives me inside information about Ghanaian culture and gives her opinion on all kinds of things.
- Nicolas is a social worker. He has worked in various NGOs for disabled children and also works at the rehab center in Tamale.
- Zack introduces himself as Pilsman. He is a teacher. He worked at Yumba special school and now teaches at the Ghanaian teacher training college about learning disabilities. Mr Zack worked for various NGOs with disabled people. He has a heart for these children.
- Mr Jamal is the director of 2 primary schools in Tamale.
- Madam Rahama is one of the teachers in the class. She has a natural authority and is clear and loving towards the children.
- Madam Emelia is one of the teachers. She has a daughter with a disability herself, which means she has experienced all the stigmas herself. With this experience, she can understand and support the children and their caregivers well. She enjoys working with the children.

Stichting Victory foundation
Stichting Victory Foundation is a foundation that supports small projects. They support, among other things, with the finances and give tips. I came into contact with them in 2012 through someone else and they supported me when I went to Ghana for the first time. I contacted them again for this project.
Intomission
Intomission is an organization that coaches and supports people when they go abroad for development work for a longer period of time.
AAA Green Africa
Through a third party I met Light Aboetaka, the founder of AAA Green Africa. He has a lot of experience in setting up projects and fundraising. He supports and gives tips and advice. He also helps with practical matters, such as applying for a (work) visa.
